    Dexis Professional Services (DPS), a wholly-owned, independently operated business unit established in 2016 to provide support services to United States Government (USG) agencies that were previously provided by the parent company, Dexis Consulting Group (Dexis). Committed to excellence in institutional support and staff augmentation, DPS draws on the parent company’s 15+ years of experience fielding domestic and overseas technical, operational, professional and managerial staff for various USG clients.

     

    DPS seeks cleared administrative professionals for anticipated long term assignments with the Department of Defense (DoD), in the Office of the Secretary of Defense to support office operations. As an administrative professional, you will be responsible for supporting continuity of operations for the office and day-to-day administrative actions. Assignments will be based in Washington, D.C. and additional field offices within the United States.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Perform varied clerical and secretarial duties requiring knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of an
    • Create and maintain ad hoc reports, SOPs, staffing reports, organization charts, quick reference guides, ceremonial invitations, awards and certificates.
    • Assist leadership and action officers in the preparation for presentations.
    • Prepare, edit and review internal memorandums for individuals within the organization and support the preparation of memorandums to external organizations.
    • Compose correspondence with little to no supervision concerning administrative matters and general office policies for leadership’s
    • Maintain office calendars, electronic mailboxes, conference room schedules, set up meetings, and create meeting minutes.
    • Organize and maintain a centralized filing system and support the privacy act and records management programs.
    • Provide support for unit travel efforts and the submission of official passports. Use the Defense Travel System to support travel requirements.
    • Utilizes the Defense Travel System (DTS), makes travel arrangements for the executives, prepare itineraries and work closely with commands, installations and civilian communities to be visited by the executive.
    • Assures that the executive has the necessary information papers, read-aheads, and trip books required for all visits/trips.
    • Process all travel vouchers for the executive within DTS and monitor the executive’s government travel card (GTC) bills to ensure voucher payouts are directed to the GTC account first paying the bill in full.
    • Use discretion with communicating information that has not been approved for release.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications at the Junior Administrative Level include:

    • High School degree and 4 years of relevant administrative experience
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Previous Department of Defense experience preferred
    • Current active Top-Secret clearance required

     

    In addition to the above requirements, at the Senior Administrative Level qualifications include:

    • High school degree and 8 years of relevant administrative experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
